President Trump’s approach to cabinet meeting transparency has reached unprecedented levels, with his April 10th, 2025 session revealing major developments including $150 billion in anticipated savings from waste and fraud reduction. The public cabinet meeting format, where Trump goes around the table allowing each secretary to provide updates directly to the American people, represents a stark departure from previous administrations’ closed-door approaches. This latest session delivered bombshell revelations on election security vulnerabilities, FBI involvement in January 6th events, and the successful passage of critical budget legislation.

Topics Covered

Unprecedented Cabinet Meeting Transparency

President Trump’s cabinet meeting transparency continues to set him apart from his predecessors in ways that political observers find remarkable. According to Jim Pfaff, President of The Conservative Caucus, while previous administrations occasionally allowed agency heads to make public statements during cabinet meetings, the format Trump employs is “unprecedented.”

“Many presidencies, there’s no discussion at all. They allow the reporters to come in and take pictures before they close the doors,” Pfaff explained during the April 10th analysis. The contrast is stark—where previous presidents maintained tight control over messaging with prepared notes and limited participation, Trump’s cabinet meeting transparency allows secretaries to speak off the cuff, providing real-time updates to both the president and the American public.

“This is very transparent and it does give everyone—I think Donald Trump knows he’s got a good team of people and he also is aware that when they can make statements in public and be recognized that that’s really helpful in moving forward a message.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

The format, reminiscent of Trump’s boardroom style from “The Apprentice,” occurs approximately every two weeks, providing consistent public visibility into the administration’s operations. This level of cabinet meeting transparency serves multiple purposes: it holds department heads accountable, communicates directly with the American people without media filtering, and showcases the administration’s accomplishments in real time.

Elon Musk Announces $150 Billion in DOGE Savings

During the cabinet meeting, Elon Musk delivered remarkable news about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative. The team anticipates savings of $150 billion in fiscal year 2026 through reduction of waste and fraud—a figure that represents just the beginning of what Musk describes as a “target rich environment.”

“People getting unemployment insurance who haven’t been born yet—I mean, anyone can appreciate that’s just crazy,” Musk stated, highlighting the absurdity of some discoveries. His assessment of the challenge? “People ask me, ‘Well, how are you going to find waste and fraud in the federal government?’ I’m like, ‘Well, actually just go in any direction—that’s how you find it.'”

The DOGE Advantage

What makes DOGE uniquely effective is its independent operational structure combined with presidential authority. Unlike previous efficiency efforts under Clinton and Obama that achieved limited success, DOGE operates outside traditional agency constraints while maintaining cooperation with willing agency heads. Russ Vought, the OMB Director who previously served in Trump’s first administration, now has the receipts from DOGE’s research to implement real changes—something he lacked the first time around when agencies constantly pushed back.

Pfaff emphasized that the $150 billion figure is “just a drop in the bucket” compared to what DOGE will ultimately uncover. The key to success lies in the collaboration between DOGE’s investigative capabilities and the OMB Director’s implementation authority—a combination that previous reform efforts never achieved.

Trump’s enthusiastic response to the DOGE team’s work was evident: “Your people are fantastic. In fact, hopefully they’ll stay around for the long haul. We’d like to keep as many as we can. They’re great, smart, sharp, right? Finding things that nobody would have thought of.”

Tulsi Gabbard Reveals Electronic Voting Vulnerabilities

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard made waves during the cabinet meeting with her announcement regarding election integrity investigations. “We have evidence of how these electronic voting systems have been vulnerable to hackers for a very long time and vulnerable to exploitation to manipulate the results of the votes being cast,” Gabbard stated, directly supporting President Trump’s mandate for paper ballots nationwide.

The revelation comes as Democrats unanimously voted against legislation requiring voter ID for federal elections, raising questions about their commitment to election security. Gabbard’s intelligence findings provide concrete evidence supporting concerns that many Americans have harbored about electronic voting systems.

“Computer systems are inherently problematic. Even if you don’t hook it up to the internet, if you have any USB port, you can put something in and make it vulnerable, make changes if someone can sneak it up there. The worst part about it is this: You cannot physically track the effort of the voter to choose a person on the touch screen and how that went directly to the tally.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

Pfaff pointed to India’s system as a potential model—electronic devices that don’t connect to the internet and have no software, with everything burned into cards. He also referenced the mechanical lever machines familiar to Gen X and Baby Boomers as examples of systems that provide transparency without digital vulnerability.

The fundamental problem with computerized voting, according to Pfaff, is the impossibility of creating a transparent chain from voter intent to final tally. “You can do that very simply with paper,” he explained. “But computers don’t allow that. The best confidence we can have is if we can gather up all the people who voted and then got their paper receipt, that might help us. But again, we don’t even know if that receipt’s highly accurate.”

Joe Kent Investigates FBI Role in January 6th

In explosive congressional testimony, Joe Kent, director of the FBI’s counterterrorism division and former Special Forces operator, revealed ongoing investigations into FBI involvement in the January 6th Capitol events. When asked directly if the violence was “intentionally organized or directed,” Kent responded that it’s “still under investigation” and that they’re “looking into whether elements of the government could have enhanced the criminal acuity of some of the rioters that day.”

Kent confirmed that multiple confidential human informants run by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies were present in the crowd, “directing, removing barriers, those types of things.” He specifically identified the Washington field office as the likely source of these operations—the same office that was involved in the Michigan Governor Whitmer kidnapping plot, where many defendants were released after it was revealed that the vast majority were undercover FBI confidential informants.

The Steven D’Antuono Connection

Kent pointed to a critical link: Steven D’Antuono was running the Washington field office during January 6th and also ran the Michigan field office during the Whitmer kidnapping plot. This pattern of FBI entrapment operations represents what Kent called “behavior that does happen by members of law enforcement and the intelligence community,” making transparency with the American people essential.

When asked if he would share evidence with the committee, Kent affirmed he would “of course”—once the investigation is complete. Pfaff noted that multiple Trump administration officials, including acting U.S. District Attorney Ed Martin, are investigating these matters from different angles.

“Everything that Joe Kent said by reports that have come out and through other evidence that we’ve all been able to see is accurate,” Pfaff stated. “Do not be surprised when we find out that there were definitely FBI informants and agitators in that crowd.”

Pfaff contextualized the broader implications: “The attempted coup was not people going around breaking windows around the Capitol. The attempted coup was twisting that into putting every Trump supporter of any stripe anywhere in the country under suspicion. This is why we saw an expansion in the FBI of investigating churches, of arresting people in an absurd manner in front of abortion clinics using the FACE Act.”

House Passes Historic Budget Resolution

In a narrow 216-214 vote, the House successfully passed the budget resolution, with only two Republicans—Thomas Massie and Victoria Spartz—voting against it. The legislation represents a significant shift from the Senate version, which projected only $4 billion in cuts over ten years. The House version now projects $1.5 trillion in cuts over the same period.

Speaker Mike Johnson made a bold promise to his colleagues: “You can kick me out of the speakership if I don’t keep these promises.” According to Pfaff, this isn’t an empty threat—members who support motions to vacate would be willing to act if Johnson fails to deliver.

“It’s a good day in the House. I told you not to doubt us. The media always does. The Democrats always do, but we get the job done. The big news today, of course, is we passed the budget resolution… that will allow us now to move forward to have our committees actually drafting the one big beautiful bill.”
— Speaker Mike Johnson

The budget resolution includes several critical components: securing the border with necessary resources, reducing regulations to stimulate economic growth, restoring peace through strength with proper defense funding, promoting American energy dominance, and preventing the largest tax increase in U.S. history by extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act beyond its end-of-year expiration.

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna credited President Trump’s direct involvement: “The only reason why the budget passed is because President Trump was actively involved and is truly one of the best negotiators I’ve ever met.”

Understanding the Budget Process

The Budget Control Act of 1974 established a process where Congress first passes a budget resolution, then appropriations committees fill in the details through 12 separate appropriations bills. If successful, this would mark the first time since 1998 that all 12 bills passed without requiring a continuing resolution to fund parts of the budget. Pfaff noted this would make Johnson “an anomaly in Republican speakers” and represent a significant achievement.

However, Pfaff urged caution about celebrating prematurely. He pointed out that even with $1.5 trillion in cuts, federal spending remains far above pre-COVID levels. In 2019, the federal budget was approximately $4.5 trillion. This year it’s nearly $7 trillion. Adjusted for inflation, 2019 spending levels would equal roughly $5.35-5.37 trillion today—still $1.6 trillion less than current spending.

“There’s a lot of dirt and messiness here, but it would be potentially a good first step if Mike Johnson keeps his promises,” Pfaff concluded.

Democrats Oppose Voter ID Requirements

In a revealing vote, every Democrat opposed the SAVE Act, legislation requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. The unanimous opposition raises fundamental questions about Democratic Party priorities regarding election integrity.

“What it says about Democrats is they know they can’t win American elections,” Pfaff stated bluntly. “We don’t have American elections right now. We literally have more and more evidence mounting up as time goes on that non-citizens are voting in our elections.”

Beyond the citizenship verification issue, Pfaff identified multiple systemic problems with current election procedures: unsolicited mail ballots crossing state lines, people voting in states where they no longer reside, inherent irregularities in computer voting systems, and multi-day election periods that create opportunities for manipulation.

“Democrats have worked to build this system for more than a decade now, almost two decades, because they knew in the late 90s and early 2000s, their ability to get votes was unsustainable. And they knew they were going down the hill and didn’t want to change. And they’ve radicalized since with on the strength of being able to massage these elections.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

The Democratic opposition to basic election security measures, combined with Tulsi Gabbard’s intelligence findings on voting system vulnerabilities, paints a troubling picture of a party more interested in maintaining power through systemic advantages than competing in transparent, secure elections.

Pfaff’s assessment was stark: “Their whole job is to frankly utilize systems that harm American values and the purpose of an American republic in order to maintain and obtain power. It’s all about power for Democrats. It’s not about the American people at all.”

Key Takeaways

  1. Cabinet Meeting Transparency Sets New Standard – Trump’s unprecedented approach of allowing cabinet members to speak publicly and off-the-cuff during meetings provides real-time accountability and direct communication with Americans, a stark contrast to previous administrations’ closed-door policies.
  2. DOGE Delivers Massive Savings – The Department of Government Efficiency has identified $150 billion in waste and fraud for fiscal year 2026, with Elon Musk indicating this is just the beginning. The collaboration between DOGE’s investigative work and OMB’s implementation authority creates an effectiveness previous reform efforts never achieved.
  3. Electronic Voting Systems Compromised – Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard revealed evidence that electronic voting systems have been vulnerable to hackers and exploitation for years, providing intelligence community backing for the push toward paper ballots and one-day voting.
  4. FBI Involvement in January 6th Under Investigation – Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent confirmed ongoing investigations into whether FBI informants and agents enhanced criminal activity on January 6th, with specific focus on the Washington field office that was also involved in the Michigan kidnapping plot entrapment.
  5. Historic Budget Cuts Proposed – The House passed a budget resolution projecting $1.5 trillion in cuts over ten years, a dramatic improvement over the Senate’s $4 billion proposal, though still maintaining spending levels significantly above pre-COVID budgets even when adjusted for inflation.
  6. Democrats Reveal Election Strategy – Unanimous Democratic opposition to requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration, combined with resistance to paper ballots despite confirmed voting system vulnerabilities, suggests a party dependent on systemic irregularities rather than winning through transparent electoral competition.
  7. Trump’s Trade Reset Continues – The administration paused reciprocal tariffs for 90 days except on China, which announced 84% retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods. Analysis suggests Trump’s strategy is successfully cornering China into negotiations that will reset trade relationships in America’s favor.
