A Christmas and New Year’s Message from The Conservative Caucus

The officers, board, staff, state directors and volunteers of The Conservative Caucus wish you and your family a blessed Christmas.
Let us reflect on the miracle that is the heart of our celebration of Christmas: the birth of Jesus Christ in a humble manger in Bethlehem.
There are a few quotes that especially speak to the message of Christ’s birth and life as powerfully today as they did then.
John Quincy Adams (1837)
“Is it not that in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? That it forms a leading event in the progress of the gospel dispensation? Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer’s mission upon earth?”
Donald J. Trump (2019)
“More than 2,000 years ago, a brilliant star shone in the East. Wise men traveled far, far afield … And they came and they stood with us under the star, where they found the Holy Family in Bethlehem. As the Bible tells us, when the Wise Men ‘had come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and fell down and worshipped him.’ This year, we come together as proud Americans—grateful for our sacred right to worship freely and to openly profess our trust in the enduring light and promise of the coming of God.”
Calvin Coolidge (1927)
“To the American People: Christmas is not a time or a season but a state of mind. To cherish peace and good will, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. If we think on these things, there will be born in us a Savior and over us will shine a star sending its gleam of hope to the world.”
With God’s grace and everyone’s hard work, we are seeing a resurgent “morning in America” spirit. We pray for President Trump and his administration to succeed in restoring the greatness of America.
And we pray for you, our members and grassroots teams, that you may have a successful and happy new year, united in our shared mission.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
