Historic House Vote on Epstein Files
In a stunning display of political pressure from the American people, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution to release thousands of sealed Justice Department files related to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The bipartisan discharge petition—spearheaded by Republican Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Democrat Ro Khanna of California—forced a floor vote after gathering exactly 218 signatures.
The resolution mandates the Attorney General release the files within 90 days. It now heads to the Senate, where Speaker Mike Johnson indicated the legislation will be amended before final passage.
“This only became possible today because the American people whom we serve as representatives here in Congress demanded that this vote happen and they put more pressure on every single elected politician in this city than has ever been put on them.”
— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene
MTG vs. Trump: The “Traitor” Controversy
The vote came amid a public clash between President Trump and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. Trump labeled her a “traitor” for refusing to remove her name from the discharge petition, while Greene fired back emotionally from the Capitol steps.
Jim Pfaff offered measured criticism of Greene’s response:
“I was personally pretty offended by what she said. She’s having a dispute with the president and she doesn’t like it—as any human being does. You can react any way you want. You can also just kind of be above the fray and be about the women who have been harmed by Jeffrey Epstein. She did not show that today.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus
Trump ultimately reversed course over the weekend, urging House Republicans to back the bill, stating “we have nothing to hide” and pledging to sign it into law.
Four Years of Democrat Silence Under Biden
Speaker Mike Johnson exposed the glaring hypocrisy behind the Democrat-led push for “transparency”:
“The Democrats had every one of the Epstein files in their possession for the four long years of the Biden administration. The Biden Department of Justice had the files the entire time. And not a single one of the people who are so loud and animated right now ever said anything about it for all those four years. None of them held press conferences, none of them demanded the release of the documents.”
— Speaker Mike Johnson
When Senator Chuck Schumer was asked directly why Biden’s DOJ never released the files, he refused to answer the question—immediately pivoting to attack Trump instead.
Hakeem Jeffries’ Epstein Connection Revealed
In a dramatic moment on the House floor, Rep. James Comer revealed that newly released documents show Democrat fundraisers invited Jeffrey Epstein to meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries as part of their 2013 effort to win a majority.
“So Hakeem Jeffries’ campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein. That’s what we found in the last document batch.”
— Rep. James Comer, House Oversight Committee Chairman
Meanwhile, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna reported that Bill and Hillary Clinton are refusing to appear before House Oversight for their depositions regarding Jeffrey Epstein. As Luna noted: “Notice how the House Democrats suddenly have nothing to say about it.”
It was also revealed that Rep. Stacey Plaskett was texting with Jeffrey Epstein during a congressional hearing—yet Democrats have made no move to censure her.
The $17 Million Congressional Hush Money Scandal
Jim Pfaff issued a direct challenge to Congress—one that could prove more explosive than the Epstein files themselves:
“In 2017, CNN of all organizations ran an article that showed there were $17 million that was spent with congressional funds to put sexual harassment and sexual abuse cases under the rug so Congressmen wouldn’t be revealed for things that they had done.”
— Jim Pfaff
Drawing on his experience as Chief of Staff to Congressman Tim Huelskamp, Pfaff revealed that unspent congressional budget funds flow back to the Speaker’s office—money he believes contributed to these hush payments.
Pfaff’s Challenge to Congress
“I’d like a discharge petition on a bill that would go and reveal that money. This is where what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Why this now? Well, here’s my question: Why not that information ever?“
“There are files in Congress right now that reveal sexual abuse amongst congressmen, both Democrat and Republican… I’m going to be convinced that there are members of Congress who are serious about transparency and cleaning house when they reveal all of the documents, all the payments that were made to stop sexual harassment suits.”
Pfaff noted that many members voting for the Epstein files release would be “totally embarrassed” if congressional hush money records were made public—which is precisely why they haven’t been.
Why Epstein Files Won’t Take Down the Deep State
While supporting transparency, Pfaff cautioned against unrealistic expectations:
“I’ve had a lot of arguments with people who think that this is going to break open the deep state and finally destroy the problems that Donald Trump was facing. I don’t think people like James Comey or Jim Clapper or John Brennan or Susan Rice or even Barack Obama were going to Epstein Island, so it doesn’t get to those people.”
— Jim Pfaff
Pfaff emphasized that Trump himself appears “pretty darn clean” after surviving the Russia hoax, years of lawfare, and intense scrutiny. The biggest name likely to be exposed? Prince Andrew of the British royal family.
The real path to dismantling the deep state, Pfaff argued, runs through what Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and others are already doing—not through the Epstein files.
“Washington DC is a hypocrisy fest. Ronald Reagan rightly said politics is the world’s second oldest profession and has many of the characteristics of the oldest one.”
— Jim Pfaff
Indiana Redistricting Battle
Pfaff weighed in on the redistricting fight in his home state of Indiana, where Republican legislators are blocking a map that would benefit Republicans—defying President Trump’s direct calls for action:
“I’m extremely displeased by what these people are doing in Indiana. It’s absolutely absurd. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce really runs what’s happening in Republican politics in Indiana. They push radical leftist social programs. They push against school choice. And they’ve captured the state legislature for years.”
— Jim Pfaff
Pfaff called on Governor Mike Braun to use his veto power to force legislators into line, noting they don’t have a veto-proof majority.
On the Texas redistricting case blocked by a federal judge, Pfaff argued it can be appealed to the Supreme Court: “Article One, Section Four of the Constitution doesn’t give courts any basis to overturn these things. It’s the state legislatures who choose how to make these elections run.”
