Analysis: Conservative Caucus President Jim Pfaff

The host of Worldview Tube’s Washington Report closed the September 28, 2026 show with an ad from Canada. “Last breaths are sacred,” it began, and a voice described bubbles, the ocean and music while seeking help to end a life. Conservative Caucus President Jim Pfaff called the Canada assisted suicide campaign obscene, weird and evil, and said it covers for a government that cannot provide proper medical care. Earlier he reacted to the police-bail release of five men arrested near RAF Fairford, a British base used by U.S. forces, said America must deport every illegal immigrant or end up where Britain is, explained the risk priced into oil during the Iran war, and argued there is greater press freedom under Donald Trump.

Topics Covered

The Canada Assisted Suicide Ad: “Last Breaths Are Sacred”

The host introduced MAiD, Canada’s medical assistance in dying program, as basically euthanasia, and played an ad running in Canada that advertises assisted suicide. Its closing line told viewers they just have to be brave enough to see the beauty. “What a weird, weird ad,” the host said.

He then relayed a video he could not get to load: a woman from Canada saying most people choose MAiD because they have no other option. Patients are diagnosed, wait 6 months to come back, then wait months more for treatment while cancer festers. They are sent pamphlets telling them to prepare their estate and think about MAiD. She said she would have faced that choice had she not come to America for healthcare.

“There is nothing more obscene and weird and frankly evil than a government effort to make assisted suicide seem beautiful.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

“Beautiful?” Pfaff asked. He said what the government is actually trying to do with the Canada assisted suicide campaign is two things. One is to cover up its inability to provide proper medical care, because Canada has taken its medical system entirely out of the free market, such that people come down to the United States, where there is at least a little more of a free market. He said America needs to make its own system more free and open.

The story has been there for decades now, Pfaff said, pointing to the Michael Moore documentary that tried to claim Cuba’s healthcare was the best in the world, which he called a big lie. The lies about these nationalized healthcare systems continue to be propagated, he said, and it is happening here too. He named both of the government’s aims in one breath.

“You literally have a government that is trying to convince people to take their own lives so that the government can save money. And at the same time, you’ve got this literal cover-up about their inability to do anything.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

“Listen, the Canadian healthcare system is a farce, as is the UK healthcare system,” he said. Britain’s might be a tick better, “but that ain’t saying much.” Government just cannot get the job done.

No Government Fix for Healthcare, Only the Free Market

Pfaff’s alternative to the Canada assisted suicide model is a market with legal accountability instead of regulators, and he said it could bring a renaissance in American healthcare if the country stopped the government programs that fail everybody.

“You need to have medical services available in the free market. Unregulated by government, only adjudicated in courts where medical providers have liability for misusing and abusing what they do. That is the way to get an effective healthcare system.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

That includes retirees, who he said could likely have better healthcare with many more options in a free market. People say they like Medicare, and he said he guesses that is fine, but when it goes broke, they will not have anything. Canada is already broke, in his words, and now it is trying to kill citizens who need very expensive procedures. America allows those procedures because it is the free world.

The host called it ironic that Canadians come here for care while some Americans want Canada’s system. Pfaff said it is not the people screaming for it. He cited a recent video from Abdul El-Sayed calling to shore up Medicare, put everyone on it and expand it to dental and vision care. Medicare has been expanded for years, for decades now, Pfaff said, and is still going broke. Where Government Healthcare Remains

Pfaff’s interim fix for any lingering government healthcare is price transparency, so everyone knows what the cost is and can make better choices. He said it would reduce costs overall. On expanding Medicare, he said: “We’ve been shoring it up for decades and it doesn’t work. And if you expand it, you’re going to make the problem even worse because you’re going to bring the inefficiencies into other areas of healthcare.” Of El-Sayed’s plan, he said: “It’s just an obscene way of thinking. It’s an insane way of thinking, actually.”

Five Men Arrested Near RAF Fairford, Then Released on Bail

Before the Canada assisted suicide segment, the show turned to Britain. The host reported that several men were arrested after explosions near a British air base used by U.S. forces in operations tied to Iranian missile strikes, forcing evacuations in a nearby town. President Trump called the arrest fantastic.

“Yeah, but they’ve already been released by the UK,” Pfaff said. “Did you hear that?” The host had not, and played the official statement.

What UK Counter-Terrorism Police Said

Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor, head of national counter-terrorism policing in the UK, said armed officers responding to a report of suspicious vehicles near RAF Fairford early Sunday arrested 5 men on suspicion of offenses under the Explosives Act and later of preparation of a terrorist act under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act. The men had traveled in 3 vehicles overnight. A cordon remained, with residents still out of their homes. Taylor confirmed the 5 men were being released on police bail under stringent conditions on movement and contact, and remain under investigation.

Pfaff told viewers to think about it: everybody in that area still could not go back to their homes.

“But these terrorists have been released. They plotted the death of others. But we’ve got stringent restrictions on them. There is only one way to have stringent restrictions on their communications with others, and that’s to keep them in jail.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

He called the release the most insane thing he has ever seen, and said such things continue because government actors are feckless and weak. He said this as someone who has supported, for most of his political life, police reform such as getting rid of qualified immunity. But if police had enough to make the arrest, he said, they had enough evidence to hold the suspects until they could validate it, because the risk is very great.

“I don’t know if these people are going to cause any further harm, but I’ll tell you what will cause further harm is a feckless, DEI-based means to be nice to people and not call them what they are and deal with them appropriately with what they’ve done.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

Britain’s Lesson for America: Deport Them All

The host played a British commentator angry that the government will not connect the incident to illegal mass migration. She asked what officials were doing about small boat crossings and terror cells, said Iran had claimed it shipped IRGC terrorists across the Channel by boat, and said every prime minister for the past 10 years had failed to notice that a hostile state or terrorist organization wanting weapons or fighters in the country would find it a great idea to bring them in illegally. The host said she was 100% right, that this is right where America was just a few years ago, and that it might be back in that spot in a few years.

Pfaff said Markwayne Mullin is not doing what needs to be done. The United States is not in precisely the same situation Great Britain is in, he said, but it has to get serious about cracking down on the remaining illegals and deporting every one of them, not just those who have been criminals. Criminals are obviously the ones to go after first.

“We need to deport them all, or else you will get to this place eventually if you don’t take advantage of following the law and upholding it properly.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

His grounding was the statute: the law says ICE and anyone else in federal government with that authority should be deporting these people. A future administration that wants to act like Joe Biden will keep the problem festering, Pfaff said, because it is the goal of Democrats to bring in mass importations of illegal people to replace American citizens. He called the British case a lesson to redouble efforts now, “or else we will pay the price for it.” TCC has covered the deportation fight at length, including Jim Pfaff’s conversation with Mike Howell on the mass deportation coalition and Phase 2.

Iran, Oil Prices and an Apocalyptic Regime

The show opened on Iran. President Trump, back from meetings with Xi Jinping, said in a weekend interview that the United States will win the war very soon and that oil will then go way down. Pfaff split the claim in two. He does not know whether the war will end very soon. He does agree that when it ends, gas prices will go down precipitously.

“A lot of what’s baked into the price right now is the risk of the conflict continuing. That’s what a lot of the price problem is.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

Millions of barrels are moving through the Strait of Hormuz right now, he said. What the markets price is whether buyers can be sure things will not suddenly change. Once the conflict is seen as done, the risk goes away and oil returns to market forces, with demand still fairly high but production capacity greatly increasing all over the world.

Pfaff said, in candor, that he wishes the United States had never gone into the war, something he and the host have talked about many times. But when the host said Iran’s leaders, with inflation Trump put at close to 300%, will keep going until they cannot, Pfaff agreed on the nature of the regime.

“They’re an apocalyptic Muslim cult that is running a state based upon principles that are fundamentally evil and are about the destruction of other people.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

He said he gets frustrated with libertarian friends, even Ron Paul, whom he loves and calls a hero, who argue how much the United States has harmed Iran. He fundamentally disagrees, he said, because America is not dealing with a rational actor, and that irrationality was one of the great risks of going in to begin with. The economic pressure Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is applying will be very harmful to the regime; if it will not break from its cultic behavior, the war will linger. “I want us to get out of this,” he said.

Greater Press Freedom Under Donald Trump

The host played a Newsmax segment in which a guest said Trump gets 92% negative coverage and that Joe Biden pulled over 400 press passes. Pfaff said the answer to media lies is for the people to reject them, which they are doing in increasing numbers.

On the facts, he did not support kicking CNN and MSNBC, now MS NOW, out of the White House, and he believes Trump knew it would not pass constitutional muster. Trump did it to show that the fake news media is fake, Pfaff said, and he said the established networks, even Fox News, have never stood by independent and alternative outlets such as Real America’s Voice and Lindell TV, which were never let in until the Trump administration. He put it to the host directly:

“You guys can get into the press room anytime you want now. Why? Because of Donald Trump. Like, there’s greater press freedom under Donald Trump.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

The useful part of what Trump did, Pfaff said, is to expose the hypocrisy of these main media outlets, and Fox News should at least have stayed neutral. What is happening, in his words, is that people now see these news outlets for what they are.

“They are arrogant, high tower, aloof purveyors of lies who want to have their special space, just like, by the way, all the AI companies are wanting their special space.”
— Jim Pfaff, President, The Conservative Caucus

He called it “kind of a form of regulatory capture,” where only the major news networks get the First Amendment rights to be in the White House press room. That has been changing over time and they do not like it, he said, and Trump tactically put a light on it that is useful for people to see the hypocrisy.

Later he allowed that the move may have been effective and useful, but said he does not know how effective it is overall and that there are a lot of other things to focus on. What he has no doubt about is that Trump believes in the freedom of the press more than probably any president in recent history, including the George W. Bush administration.

Key Takeaways

  1. The Canada assisted suicide ads are a cover-up – Pfaff called a government effort to make assisted suicide seem beautiful obscene and evil, and said it hides a nationalized system’s failure to provide proper care while saving the government money.
  2. Only the free market fixes healthcare – Pfaff wants medical services free of government regulation, with providers liable in court, and price transparency wherever government healthcare lingers.
  3. Terror suspects belong in jail – Five men arrested near RAF Fairford were released on police bail while residents still could not go home. Pfaff said the only way to restrict their communications is to keep them in jail.
  4. Deport them all – Criminals first, Pfaff said, but federal law says to deport every illegal immigrant, or America will end up where Britain is.
  5. Oil prices carry war risk – With millions of barrels moving through the Strait of Hormuz, Pfaff said gas prices will fall precipitously once the Iran war ends.
  6. Press freedom has expanded – Pfaff opposed removing CNN and MSNBC on the facts, but said outlets like Real America’s Voice now have press room access because of Donald Trump.
